The world of music is evolving into something that is quite a change in itself. the music world has shown us that we can party hard, love hard, and die hard. It's all an illusion. If you ask "adults' who have are former partiers, they will tell you to keep away from all of that. That that kinda life can lead down a bad path. I love to party and laugh and enjoy myself. But here is a point that i have to decide, enough is enough. I don't party HARD, but i do have fun with friends and i guess that you could call that a mini party. Anyways, the moment that alcohol is even considered i'll be out of there. Or drugs, or some other stupid thing. I vowed from a very young age that i would stay away from those things.
Anyways, music. It has changed the face of popularity. If you are a singer/songwriter, than you are at the top of the social status. And that's good. Like Justin Beiber or Harry Styles are both ranking high in the social status. They are both singers, both male, and both young. There are many girl singers who fall into similar categories. For example, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. They are both brilliant song writers, both young, and both great performers (not to mention both have hit songs). The music world is, from what I've discovered, mainly centered around young love and partying. Which is understandable. But the thing that bothers me is that the songwriters are promoting this lifestyle that i, personally, don't agree with. The lifestyle is full of ugly things.
Sorry, I've really gotten off subject. Music does influence our world. But not only in a bad way. It influences us in good ways too. For example, the way that some music tells you to be yourself and, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger," kinda thing. P!nk, who has some very "adult" music, can be a pumper-upper. HAHA! So can Sara Bareilles. She really contributes to the whole, "stand up for yourself" and "your beautiful."
So i was just thinking all about this and i wanted to share it with all of you. Love you! (((HUGS)))
